All of the Glory

1 Chronicles 18
He put garrisons in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to him and brought him tribute. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went.
1 Chronicles 18:6 NIV
This chapter talks to us about some of David’s victories. He was able to defeat the Philistines, Moabite, and the king of Zobah.
…….The Lord gave David victory wherever he went.
1 Chronicles 18:6 NIV
David didn’t defeat any of them by his own strength. God was with him and allowed him to have victory over the places he went.
King David dedicated these articles to the Lord, as he had done with the silver and gold he had taken from all these nations: Edom and Moab, the Ammonites and the Philistines, and Amalek.
1 Chronicles 18:11 NIV
David gives God the glory when he dedicates the gold silver and bronze. This chapter makes me think about my son. He’s involved in multiple sports throughout the year. Summertime is all about track. It’s a sport that relies on training and prayer in my opinion. Being fast doesn’t always get you a win. Sometimes it takes a lot of faith in God and prayer. I must teach him to give God all the glory when he races regardless of the outcome.

PRAYER: Lord, Thank you for giving us the victory or some of our circumstances. You give us the ability and the strength to get through whatever battle we face. Please continue to build our faith as we go through life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
