SOAP Ephesians 1: Come & See

Ephesians 1

I have often said that the book of Ephesians is the book written just for me. It is within these very pages that the Holy Spirit within me was awoken and I came alive and aware of the woman God created me to be!  These pages are invigorating and give fresh wind every time I read them.

BACKGROUND

What you are about to read is meant to be taught to every church.  It is the constitution of our faith, the great summary description of all that is precious and esteemed in Christian doctrine and Christian living.  This powerful letter, Paul writes to the church of Ephesus around AD 60, while imprisoned in Rome.  The book of Ephesians cements in its few pages, the position and authority of the church over EVERY other force.  The letter is meant to ground, shape, and challenge believers in their faith. Paul highlights the mystery of the glory of Christ for every believer.

Come & See

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

These words are the beginning of Devery identity journey. At least for mine, but I believe for any person who is hungry to know who God made them to be… it starts right here.

Who are you?

Who has God said you are?

Do those answers conflict? Is there anything false hidden within these answers?

Do you have a broken you answer? Or a redeemed you answer?

It matters.

What is God’s opinion of you?

Want to find out? Sit within these pages with God and let Him show you.

I read this post this morning while getting for work. And the question of am I looking at life through the lense of my brokenness or my remdemption is such a powerful question for reflection. I have caught myself thinking from a place of brokenness 5 times already today and it’s 8:20 am.

I’m declaring right now and right here- Satan will not succeed in using my past to hold me down. I am made new in Jesus and I will look at myself and my life through the glass of redemption! ❤️🙌🏻✝️
