Make Your Stand

1 Chronicles 21
“Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel.”
I Chronicles 21:1 NKJV
I have just spent the last few days in the gateway of heaven.
“Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!””
Genesis 28:16-17 NKJV

This might sound like a bizarre way to start following our key verse in 1 Chronicles, but I assure you they’re right.
I heard so many anointed words this weekend, but the ones that land differently are these:
“What’s between you and the life God has called you to live, what’s between you and the good things God has prepared for you- is a decision.” -Mark Pettus
“One decision to say yes to follow Jesus isn’t saying one no, it’s saying a million no’s to all else.” “And everyday we add our amen to that decision.” - DawnCheré Wilkerson

Who can move you?
The Lord, your self, or satan?
What are you basing your decision on? I’m feeling this out but is the decision based on selfish feelings? Feelings of offense? Pain? Fear?
I’m feeling really convicted about this. How many of my decisions are Spirit led? Not enough. I say I want to be spirit led and yet I keep making decisions on my feelings, instead of by His spirit.
I want to ask you to pray.

You see there was a mighty work done in the Spirit in countless young people’s lives this weekend. And today they find themselves responsible to add their yes to that spirit work and to walk out a life that is centered on Christ Jesus.
I remember my first yes to Jesus. It was followed by too many no’s. No’s that were based in fear, doubt, insecurity, pride, and offense. Will you join me in praying over the work done at Motion Conference? Pray a hedge of protection be fortified and protect the seeds planted in good soil, and received by faith. Let the fruit of their testimony, bring life, and multiply the number of those who would be heaven bound. Pray for godly friendships, mentors, and encouragers. Pray for a steadfast resilience to obey King Jesus. Pray for Holy Spirit fire to not just transform them but their homes, their schools, their cities, their states, our nation and world.

“But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.””
Matthew 13:23 NKJV
