Dance Anyway

1 Chronicles 15
But as the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant entered the City of David, Michal, the daughter of Saul, looked down from her window. When she saw King David skipping about and laughing with joy, she was filled with contempt for him.
1 Chronicles 15:29 NLT
David set out to return the Ark of the Covenant to a proper place. He arranged to have it brought down the way God told him to. He celebrated the return grandly.
When I read this scripture, I think about how people might not understand our lives. David was overjoyed at the return of the Ark of the Covenant. When we have been delivered, blessed, or restored by God we might dance, sing, and celebrate and people will not always understand.

The old song says, this joy that I have the world didn’t give it to me and the world can’t take it away. It doesn’t say the world will understand.
The Bible says to come to Jesus like a child. Children splash in the puddles, skip down the street, laugh out loud, and dance.
We should live our lives in celebration of His goodness and love. Dance like He is watching.

PRAYER: Thank you Jesus for your goodness and love. Thank you for your forgiveness and mercy. You have delivered me from darkness and sin. I will rejoice. I will dance. Let your praises be seen in my life. Let my life reflect your love.
Amen.
Love it! “Dance like He is watching!” Because He is ❤️
