Are You Muddy?

I’ve been spinning my wheels at a few things for a loooong time. And you wanna know what I just wind up muddy. I’m slipping around in mud and not gaining any ground.
I know this won’t come as a surprise to many of you but how many things do you do in your everyday lives that don’t require God’s strength? I would guess a ton.
Brushing your teeth ✅
Walking ✅
Having conversations ✅
A paycheck ✅
Problem solving ✅
We are so ingrained to DO without prayer, guidance, or God’s might. It’s no wonder we feel fatigued, defeated, and full of strife.
“When He (Jesus) had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.”Luke 5:4-7 NKJV
Peter knew how to fish. It’s what he did. He’d likely had bragged about it in the past on good days. It’s how he provided for his family.
God knows your need. He knows where you toil and strive and still wind up empty.
And with one word and a response in obedience, every need can be met and met to overflow and bless others.
What 1 thing could you release to God not because you cannot do it on your own but because you don’t want to do it alone?
