Thought Audit

1 CORINTHIANS 2
“Those who live in the Spirit are able to carefully evaluate all things, and they are subject to the scrutiny of no one but God.”
1 Corinthians 2:15 TPT
There have been many times in my life where I have allowed the judgment or opinions of others to get to me. Am I the only one? I’m sure most of us have allowed other voices to creep into our minds.
Sometimes it’s from people you love or people that you don’t get along with well. There are even times when we judge ourselves. Some things can really hurt to hear. It all comes down to one question though. Does it align with the Holy Spirit?
If the judgment or conviction is not from God then it has no place in our thoughts. That was so easy to say right? It is not so easy to do. I encourage you to take an audit of your thoughts today. Does it line up with God's word? Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you when you are evaluating those things spoken to you?
Prayer: Lord, I want to thank you for giving us your word. It helps us grow closer to you. It is the lamp we use to guide us through life. Continue to fill us with your spirit so we can evaluate all things. We love you and honor your glorious name.

Thank you for your words of wisdom. This was very thought provoking for me. No one can judge us because we have the mind of Christ. But you are, right, people do judge and say things that don’t line up with who God says we are. I’ve said things to others and yes, to myself, that don’t line up. Lord, please help me to speak life to others and to myself. Amen.
