King or Fool?

John 6

I recently heard this quote:

“Every Man Has A King...And A Fool Within Him.

The One You Address...Is The One That Responds.”

There is so much truth in it.  I lingered over it a bit and realized that when you speak to the King-you’re speaking to the Spirit. And when you’re speaking to the fool you are speaking to the flesh.

Honestly as true as that is, what is more true is “who” is speaking the king (or Queen) or the fool.

These words are Jesus speaking and are in red:

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

What are your motivations in saying what you’re saying? Is it self serving? Are your words Spirit-led? I seriously need to check myself-at home mostly. Sadly, those I want to give my best to-often get me at my worst.

Conclusion: Feed your spirit more than you feed your flesh. Check yourself and your motives. Let the words of Christ and the Holy Spirit be your motive- and rivers of living water will be poured out and give life.
