No Need to Worry

No Need to Worry

ISAIAH 8

Make the Lord of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the

one you should fear. He is the one who should make you

tremble.

Isaiah 8:13 NLT

God tells Isaiah to write down a few words and then later he tells him to name his child those words Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz. I think this is a great example where God shows that he made plans for our lives before we were even conceived.

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was

recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a

single day had passed.

Psalms 139:16 NLT

He knew everything about me before anyone else. There is no moment in my life that is surprising to God. He uses every moment so there is no reason to worry and no reason to fear. He already knows the bad parts of my life that He will use for good.

God spoke strongly to me, grabbed me with both hands and warned me not to go along with these people. He said: “Don’t be like these people, always afraid somebody is plotting

against them. Don’t fear what they fear. Don’t take on their worries. If you’re going to worry, worry about The Holy. Fear God-of-the-Angel-Armies. The Holy can be either a Hiding

Place or a Boulder blocking your way, The Rock standing in the willful way of both houses of Israel, A barbed-wire Fence preventing trespass to the citizens of Jerusalem. Many of

them are going to run into that Rock and get their bones broken, Get tangled up in that barbed wire, and not get free of it.”

Isaiah 8:11-15 MSG

It’s important that instead of worrying about everything, I focus on God and His spirit.

The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me

victory. This is my God, and I will praise him— my father’s

God and I will exalt him!

Exodus 15:2 NLT

Prayer: Lord thank you for being the same today, yesterday, and forever! You continue To show me through your words just how close you are. Thank you for loving me and protecting

me from harm. You have never failed me and I have no reason to worry. I give you all the honor and praise. Amen

I really found the message translation you used intriguing. The Rock- some will run into, be blocked, or prevented- instead of standing on the Rock, being stabilized and grounded.

Why do I worry? When I know I’m standing on the Rock- and He has made plans for me long before my conception. He will open doors no man can shut- He will close doors no man can open. He parts seas, He brings rivers to deserted places, He is fresh wind. 💨
