Let God Be True

ISAIAH 5
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight!
Isaiah 5:20-21 NKJV
Woe!
Have the mind of Christ - be careful as you consider what is "good" and what is "evil". Not all things deemed good by man are good. Legalizing prostitution for starters..... had to go there. Not sorry.
Not all things deemed evil by man are. Living righteously and holy for one.
Think for a moment what you thought living righteously would look like?
Nothing but boredom, rigidity, and condemnation, that's what I thought living for God looked like and felt like.
I was so wrong! Life with Jesus is exciting and fun. It's challenging, peaceful and exhilarating at the same time.
Our world is upside down - who can understand it?
Woe! Woe to us who consider ourselves wise and prudent. Woe to those who consider themselves. Not God considering them wise. This feels hard. Yet, the Lord is faithful to give wisdom to those who ask for it.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
James 1:5 NKJV

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—
I Corinthians 1:30 NKJV

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
James 3:17 NKJV

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise.
Ephesians 5: 15 NKJV

Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
Proverbs 3:7 NKJV

The last time I wrote I talked about being offended by God. His word is the ultimate truth. If it says it within the pages of the HOLY BIBLE and I disagree - well then I'm wrong. Let God be true and every man a liar. God is the one whom sets what is right and wrong, good and evil. Not me. Not my truth. Not you or your truth. No one but the LORD.
The key points that stand out to me are wisdom from God is willing to yield. I don't know about you but often when I think I'm right the last thing I do is yield. I must prove my correctedness.
Jesus became wisdom for us in God.
Fear the Lord and flee evil= wisdom
Ask for wisdom! God gives liberally and generously to those who ask.
Prayer: Lord, I am so grateful for your gentle correction. I am thankful to be clay in your hands. Let me always be teachable and know Your ways are higher, Your thoughts higher, Your ways are right, good, and true. Lord, give me wisdom and the fear of the Lord. Grow knowledge and understanding within me, never to puff me up but to grow me in resemblance of You and Your love. In Jesus's name, amen!
Amen! I love the painted stones❣️
